Jill鈥檚 career began in rural Vermont through employment in Intensive Family Based Services where she worked with treatment teams and coordinated wrap around services. After working there for five years she returned to Northern New Mexico in 2000 and began a career in the villages and towns along the Rio Grande corridor. She worked in Community Mental Health, Juvenile Drug Court, initiated a Girl’s Circle Program (Taos and Pojoaque Middle Schools) and worked part time in substance abuse residential treatment.
Jill’s PhD in Mythology and Depth Psychology supports engaging the unconscious processes through dreamwork, art making and sand play, as well as giving consideration to the archetypes and influences at play in the drama of soul-making that underlies every human life.

Jill currently works through a private practice focused on supporting teen girls and adult women. Her two horses, Saint and Jericho, at times share the counseling field through equine educational experiences. Animals serve as a grounding and often mirroring presence; when a horse is not present in a session, then a large dog surely will be.
Jill enjoys caring for her two horse, two large dogs, chickens and ducks. She has recently taken up weaving in the northern New Mexico style on the Rio Grande Loom. Trail riding is always calling with new adventures to be had in our beautiful mountains of Northern New Mexico.
